Part-Time Classroom Floater
Ixora Montessori is seeking a part-time Classroom Floater beginning in August 2026.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, and comfortable working with children ranging in
age from 14 months to 6 years old. Experience in a Montessori classroom or previous childcare
experience is beneficial but not required.
This role includes assisting young children with diapering and supporting children who are learning
to use the bathroom independently.
Responsibilities
Candidates must be able to:
• Assist with the care and supervision of children ages 14 months to 6 years.
• Maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
• Follow safe hand-washing and hygiene practices.
• Assist with cleaning eating, play, and sleeping areas on a daily basis.
• Support classroom teachers and help ensure smooth daily operations.
• Provide a warm, nurturing, and respectful environment for all children.
While experience in teaching and/or working in a school is not required, we deeply value an interest
in investing in young children and their education.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Some experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to function in an active, flexible, and high-volume environment.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
• Clean criminal history record.
